Plaintiffs have claimed Dr. Brock made suggestive comments about their desirability, bodies, and comfort with sexual acts.

The lawsuits allege patients were subjected to breast and pelvic exams without medical reason as well as groped or touched in irrelevant bodily locations in a sexual manner.

Non-Consensual Procedures
As an OB/GYN, Dr. Barry Brock was also present for numerous labors and deliveries. Following delivery, he oversaw and completed postpartum procedures. During these procedures, he is alleged to have sewn his patient’s vaginal openings unnaturally tight without consent, resulting in life-long painful intercourse for many patients.

Did Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Know About Patients’ Complaints About Dr. Barry J. Brock?
Lawsuits allege Cedars-Sinai Medical Center knew of the complaints against Dr. Brock but did little to ensure he wouldn’t harm patients. His reputation was allegedly widely known among nurses and staff, but he continued practicing at Cedars-Sinai for decades. In 2018, Brock was removed from the hospital’s network but retained privileges at the medical center until 2024 when he was suspended over “concerning complaints” regarding his medical care.
